On May 29, 2023, Hanglok co-sponsored and deeply participated in the Workshop "Robot-assisted Medical Imaging", which ishosted by Professor Nassir Navab and Dr. Jiang Zhongliang from Technical University of Munich, Germany.

At the meeting, Professor Salcudean, who is from the University of British Columbia in Canada made a detailed analysis of the integration and application of ultrasound imaging in image-guided robot-assisted surgery, he proposed that the surface mapping of organ targets will benefit more efficient visualization technology, and ultrasound images may provide imaging effects equivalent to MRI. Professor Mahdi Tavakoli, from the University of Alberta, Canada, shared a presentation entitled "Robotic Surgical Assistance Systems for Ultrasound Scanning and Guidance" in which he proposed an automatic control principle to solve the problem of needle deformation during prostate radiotherapy intervention. Professor Arianna Menciassi, from the High School of Sant 'Anna in Pisa, Italy, presented AI-assisted robotic platform guided transcarotid revascularization, including preoperative 3D vessel reconstruction and catheter trajectory generation, intraoperative image-based robot and patient registration, and automatic catheter implantation. Professor Nassir Navab focused on automated robotic 3D ultrasound technology, in which the doctor manually selects the start and end positions of the scan, and the robot automatically holds the ultrasound probe at an Angle perpendicular to the surface of the abdomen for scanning and 3D imaging of the area. On this basis, Dr. Jiang introduced more technical details, including the optimization of the direction of the ultrasonic probe and the automatic ultrasonic examination of blood vessel structure. Prof. Stamatia Giannarou shared a variety of image optimization methods in laparoscopic surgery, including contact force estimation from tissue deformation in images, depth information estimation of endoscopic images, endoscopic image fluoroscopy under instrument occlusion, and a marker design for surgical instrument tracking.

In addition, Dr. Wolfgang Wein, CEO of ImFusion, explained details about his company's products related to image annotation, fusion and navigation software. Mikael Brudfors, senior architect at Nvidia, introduced his company's Nvidia Clara suite for life health and life sciences, including tools such as HOLOSCAN, MONAI, FLARE and more. Professor Danail Stoyanov, who is from UCL, shared analysis with guests about their research work on instrument pose estimation, navigation positioning and target recognition during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Dr. Jianjun Zhu of Hanglok was invited to attend the meeting and gave a comprehensive introduction to some of Hanglok's innovative work in the field of robot-assisted intervention.

It can be seen that robot research in the field of interventional radiology has gradually become a new hot spot in the field of scientific research and technology, and academicians and professors in many fields and interventional doctors also hope to explore new ideas of interventional medicine together and solve more engineering problems together.

The discussion about medical robots continued into a themed dinner sponsored by Hanglok. The continuous and warm exchanges on topics such as "how robot technology can be more widely used in clinical practice and more beneficial to clinical practice, how medical robots can be accurate and efficient at the same time, and how to balance robot technology innovation and clinical safety" have also greatly promoted the future cooperation intention among scientific researchers and between schools and enterprises.

As an enterprise in Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone,Hanglokattaches great importance to cutting-edge technologies and talents in the field of medical robots, and always humorously learns from predecessors in the field of surgical robots and communicates with advanced peers. In the future, the company will continue to "solve the technical problems in the field of interventional radiology," as its own responsibility, and actively strengthen the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area enterprises and the world's top universities to establish a model of international school-enterprise cooperation.
