Established in 1954, the Chinese PLA General Hospital stands as a comprehensive center for radiological imaging diagnosis, seamlessly integrating medical, health, teaching, and scientific research endeavors. Over the period from 2018 to 2021, the hospital's radiology department consistently ranked among China's top three specialties for four consecutive years, attesting to its excellence in the field. Boasting a total investment exceeding 450 million yuan in general medical research equipment, the hospital's equipment scale ranks among the nation's finest.

With over 10 innovative technologies and more than 30 national patents recognized at various levels, including the multimodal imaging evaluation of major brain, chest, and abdominal diseases, CT and MRI guided tumor cryoablation, and argon helium knife diagnosis and treatment, the hospital remains at the forefront of medical innovation.

During a clinical trial, attending doctor Dr. Yueyong Xiao affirmed the precision of the SGNIO intervention surgical robot. Addressing current limitations in robot-assisted surgery, such as breathing control, convenience, and safety, Dr. Xiao emphasized the gradual integration of robots into medical care, foreseeing them as invaluable aids in the near future.
