Hengqin International Interventional Surgical Robotics Center was inaugurated in Zhuhai People's Hospital-Hengqin Hospital. It is also the first interventional surgical robotics center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

On the day of the establishment of the center, Teng Gaojun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of the Interventional Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Lu Ligong, president of Zhuhai People's Hospital Medical Group and vice president of the interventional Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, completed the first interventional robot-assisted microwave ablation of liver disease for a patient with liver cancer in China under the hybrid navigation of "force-position image".
